The last Year Ahead post for 2024 focuses on breaking the cycle.
I often find myself stuck in old patterns of behavior, constantly telling myself I am going to change! But man, it is HARD. Especially those patterns that we've carried with us for our entire lives. This reading was so powerful for me! This was the first reading I've ever done for myself that literally had me on the verge of tears. This is the reading I did for myself (not the same as the one in the youtube video below).
It spoke to the walls I've put up to keep people and emotions out (Cactus, Birds, Anchor), it spoke to the need to release things I've carried with me as it relates to my relationship with my mother (Empress) and how difficult this journey might be for me (10 of Swords).
It speaks to my current journey of reconciling my spiritual beliefs and finding my own path (5 of Wands), needing to take a look at these patterns in a new way so that I can realize I am not doomed to repeat them for forever (8 of Swords).
